It's the win or return home for the Oregon State beavers as they face the Arkansas Razorbacks in the second game of the World Series Series final series Wednesday in Omaha, Nebraska.
But then, beavers (53-12-1) are used to this scenario. At TD Ameritrade Park, they pushed back the elimination four times in the last 10 days, making their way among the losers to qualify for the CWS finals against the Razorbacks (48-19).
They will seek to survive the elimination again when Game 2 starts at 4pm. PDT Wednesday (TV on ESPN, live broadcast on Watch ESPN).
Right-handed Bryce Fehmel (10-1, 3.16 ERA) should take the Beavers' departure, with Arkansas sending southpaw Kacey Murphy (8-5, 3.15) onto the hill.
OSU rebound with a win and will it force a match 3 Thursday? Or will Arkansas remain undefeated in Omaha and win its first NCAA baseball title on Wednesday? Follow this post for live updates as game 2 unfolds.
Live scores: Oregon State 0, Arkansas 0 (Top 1)
Top 1: Oregon State is the visiting team in this match, so the Beavers will beat first. Nick Madrigal is the leader, followed by Cadyn Grenier and Trevor Larnach. Madrigal takes one to go to the center, but Dominic Fletcher is able to make the basket.
Grammar notes: Center player Steven Kwan is not in OSU's starting lineup. The Beavers first made it part of the lineup at his usual starting point, then took him to location # 9 before replacing him with Preston Jones .
One more update: Preston Jones is now 9th in the lineup, playing center.
