Originally, Sridevi had to do the movie before her. died last February. The role was eventually awarded to Madhuri. She also talked about the #MeToo movement, saying that She was shocked to read the names of Alok Nath and the filmmaker Soumik Sen, people with whom she already worked because she was not aware of that side of their personality. In the # MeToo movement, which hit Bollywood last August, Nath was charged with rape by screenwriter-director Vinta Nanda. Sen, who led Madhuri in Gulaab Gang, was charged with inappropriate behavior by three women.
When asked if it was heartbreaking for her to see their names in the #MeToo movement, Madhuri told PTI: "It's still shocking. Because you know them and do not know them that way.
