Madhuri Dixit is about to tickle our funny bone with his next adventure comedy, Total Dhamaal. The Bollywood diva is meeting with Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgn and Indra Kumar in the film.
In an exclusive conversation with indianexpress.com, the actor "Dhak Dhak" talked about getting teamed again with his friends, working on different genres and what has changed around her all these years
Here are excerpts from the conversation:
Q. What makes comedy constantly bring you back to genre?
The fun element. I like doing comedies. I think it is very fun and I like it. And once I knew that Indu ji (director Indra Kumar) was in charge, everything else followed. And we have a lovely band with Ajay (Devgn), Anil Ji (Kapoor) and the other actors. So, there is a level of comfort and I thought I would have fun on the set.
Q. You meet with Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgn and Indra Kumar. What has changed in them over the years?
I think their travels have changed. In that sense, when I first worked with them, we were all sort of finding our own feet in different ways. And now, when I work, they are all well established and do much more than before. They grew so much from where they were. So, that's the only difference. Rest, they are the same people.
Q. What has been your favorite genre so far?
As an actress, I should be able to work in all kinds of movies. That's what I like to do. Whether Total Dhamaal, Kalank, Gulaab Gang or Aaja Nachle, you have to know how to describe any type of character and I love being in front of the camera. I like to do any type of movie.
