Kalank's new song, Tabah Ho Gaye, due out Tuesday, features Madhuri Dixit in his Kathak glory. Before her release, Madhuri spoke to DNA where she said that Tabah Ho Gaye was different from another song, illustrated on it, Maar Dala of Devdas.
On Monday, immediately after Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt shared Tabah Ho Gaye's first look, people quickly likened Baahar Begum's song to Kalank to Sanjay's iconic Maar Dala of Devjas Leela Bhansali. Madhuri, however, believes that the two songs are different, just like their characters.
She reportedly said, "Bahaar Begum is a different personality from that of a Chandramukhi. So we had to choreograph (the song) keeping its mentality in mind. The challenge was that Bahaar Begum's character was such that she might have chosen not to dance as well. His character is like that. "
" There is a kind of very balanced choreography where it's not too high, where she says "Oh, I'm going to dance". In addition, it comes at a very emotional time in the film. It's a slow song. Kalank, an epic epic of love and loss that takes place in the context of India's score, is full of sumptuous ensembles and rich textures. The film features the following personalities: Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapoor. The various songs and the movie trailer had already been talked about before its release on April 17.
