The trailer for Malaal, a film that marks the debut of Javed Jaffrey's son Meezaan, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's niece Sharmin Segal, is out. It shows their story of intense love that begins with a love-hate relationship but goes through a tragic struggle.

Located in the heart of Maharashtra, the film trailer shows Meezaan and Sharmin as residents of a crowded slum in Mumbai. Sharmin with curly hair, dressed in salwar-kameez, seems to be an underdog and has to face many oppositions from the popular slum boy, played by Meezaan. His dialogue, "The logo Humare ko hata ke har cheez pe kabza kar rahe hain ye. Indian, I went to India, Mumbai. If these people encroach on everything by sending our people back. If you are an Indian, go live in India, why did you come to Mumbai ?, draws attention.

Complete with sequences of traditional songs and dances, a festival of Ganpati in the background and Marathi dialogues, the film reminds us the recent Dhadak drama that marked Janly Kapoor debuts at Bollywood alongside Ishaan Khatter.

A first look at the film was revealed the day before, showing Sharmin Segal sitting in front of Meezaan on a bike and taking her back to the road. Directed by Mangesh Hadawale The film is produced by Bhansali alongside Bhushan Kumar, Mahaveer Jain and Krishan Kumar and is expected to be released June 28 th.

While Meezaan one in a black Indo-Western outfit, Sharmin donned a pastel green suit for the event. All, from Javed to Bhansali, were present at the launch of the film trailer, a family affair. Bhansali's mother, Leela Bhansali, also attended the event.

Bhansali's next film is entitled Inshallah and the lead roles are Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt. The film made the headlines of its unusual cast because of the great age difference between the two actors. His latest film, Padmaavat, with Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, had collected more than 300 million rupees at the box office.
