The filmmaker of Malayalam filmmaker Nayana Suryan was found dead Sunday in his apartment. Lenin Rajendran, 29, has been an badistant director for many years. His body was found dead in his Althara junction apartment near Vellayambalam.
According to a Times of India report, Nayana is believed to be in Karunagapalli, near Kollam, where her mother lives. On Saturday, the director turned 29 and her mother called to wish her a birthday. But there was no answer. His mother then called some friends from Nayana to inquire. As the friends had also tried to get in touch with her and got no response, they went to her apartment on Sunday and knocked on the door. Since there was no answer from the inside, they took the owner's spare key and opened the door. Then, they entered her room by opening the door and found Nayana's body.
They took her to the nearby medical college. Upon examination, the doctors claimed that Nayana could have died early in the morning. The levels of BP and sugar were very low and that could have been the cause of his death, the doctors said. His body was transported to his hometown Karunagapalli after the autopsy.
In 2017, Nayana made a film called Pakshikalude Manam. After Lenin Rajendran's disappearance in January, it was reported that Nayana was heartbroken and not eating properly. Her death apparently caused her in a state of mental stress.
