Mani Ratnam, a renowned Indian director, has known since yesterday about his health problems. According to Buzz, director Mani Ratnam was hospitalized Thursday in Chennai after complaining of chest pains. The director was reportedly taken to a private hospital after the onset of chest pain. In addition, the reports also claimed that Mani Ratnam was in a stable state.
Now, a hospital official came to the forefront to say that Mani Ratnam was not hospitalized and that it was just a routine check.
The director visited the Apollo Hospital in Chennai for an examination, after complaining of chest pains, but he is in very good condition, said a hospital official
"He had come to the hospital for a medical examination.He was not admitted," said the hospital official at IANS
Mani Ratnam has already survived a heart attack while shooting at Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan and Yuva from Vivek Oberoi in 2004.
Chest pain returned in 2009 and again in 2015 when the director had to be hospitalized.
Mani Ratnam's upcoming Tamil film, which will feature Arvind Swami, Vijay Sethupathi, Simbu and Fahadh Faasil, will be released in January next year, with news announced on Saturday. Inclusion of Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman in the film.
The Pro jet, intended to be a big-budget thriller, also features Jyothika and Aishwarya Rajesh. Having already worked with Arvind Swami in "Roja", "Thalapathi", "Bombay" and "Kadal", this will be Ratnam's first collaboration with Vijay Sethupathi, Simbu and Fahadh.
