Manoj Bajpayee in honor of Padma Shri
Aligarh The actor Manoj Bajpayee is to be conferred on Padma Shri by the Indian Government Day of the Republic, as of Human Rights Day. The Padma Shri is the fourth highest civil award of the Republic of India after Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan.
The actor has delivered phenomenal performances in such films as The Wbadeypur Gangs, Aks, Kargil LOC, Road, Pinjar, Shool, Satya, Raajneeti, Zubeidaa among others. He has appeared in more than 60 Bollywood films, as well as in television series and regional films. He had debuted at Bollywood with a special appearance in the 1994 film Drohkaal and Bandit Queen.
He enjoyed immense popularity for his role in his 1998 release of Satya [ for which he won the National Film Award for Best Actor in a Supporting and Critical Role of the best actor for filmfare criticism.
On a professional level, the actor will soon be seen in Sonchiriya alongside Bhumi Pednekar, alongside Abhishek Chaubey. Sushant Singh Rajput and Ashutosh Rana. The release of the film is scheduled for March 1, 2019. It would collide with Lukka Chuppi Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon at the box office. In 2018, he was seen in 7 films – Aiyaary, Baaghi 2, Missing, Satyameva Jayate, Gali Guleiyan, Love Sonia and Bhonsle. It would also be seen in the next American film Dhaka sharing screen space with Chris Hemsworth, Randeep Hooda and Randeep Hooda. The filming is scheduled to end in March of this year. The Padma Shri 2019 Awards would be presented by President Ram Nath Kovind to Rashtrapati Bhawan on January 26, 2019.
