Mark Ruffalo has a reputation for having trouble with secrets. This is a problem for an actor in Marvel's films where the protection of spoilers is practically part of the job description. Ruffalo himself ruined the end of Infinity War a year before the release of the film and was lucky enough for everyone to think he was joking. So, perhaps this story is not shocking
During an interview granted to Avengers: Endgame Ruffalo told Yahoo! that he was sure to go to be one of the heroes of Thanos in Infinity War. And in fact, he said, he died in at least one version that was shot down. His exact quote:
"I did not know until I saw the movie. For one shot, I disappeared, then for the second. This would mean that even during filming, some actors were not aware of their fate.
Do not dispute the validity of a statement of a genius. Bruce Banner's likes, but … how could that be accurate? Marvel filmed Infinity War and Endgame concurrently. And it is quite clear, as shown in the trailer of Endgame that Bruce Banner is alive and well in this film. By the time Infinity War came out, he had to know that he was in Endgame ; he had already pulled a pile (or all). So just how crafted a ruse if Ruffalo thought that the Russo brothers were playing with him just to make sure he did not spoil anything? For example, did he really think that the Russos would bother to put it in all the scenes of the movie so that it could not reveal that they had dismissed it?
Once again, Ruffalo said a few words. Wild stuff before and it turned out to be true. So maybe he reveals something again and we do not realize it yet. Avengers: Endgame will be released in theaters on April 26.
