Mass shooting in California: 30 wounded after firing several shots at Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks

Several people, including a police officer, were injured after someone opened fire, apparently with a semi-automatic weapon in a bar in the US state of California.

ABC News interviewed witnesses who testified that the shooter fired several shots with a handgun before firing smoke bombs and then reopened the fire.

Another witness testified that the shooter fired 30 shots. "He fired a lot, at least 30 times, I could still hear gunshots after everyone left," the anonymous witness told the Los Angeles Times newspaper.

A local news site, Ventura Country Star, reported that the shooting had occurred at a pub called Borderline Bar & Grill in the Californian town of Thousand Oaks

The County of Ventura Fire Department , where is Thousand Oaks, tweeted that it was "an active shooter incident"

A Ventura Country Star reporter – who appeared to be on the ground near on the site of the shooting – tweeted images of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) staff, the main US domestic security agency, at the scene of the shooting.

In another post posted on Twitter, the reporter has put together a video of young people who have been in the street. he stated "were apparently at the Borderline bar" at the time of the reported mbad shootings.
