The mbadive police presence on Thursday in Upper Bucks County is actually linked to the series of explosions that have rocked the community for months, confirmed the Bucks County District Attorney's Office.
Larry King, a spokesman for the prosecutor's office, said the office is now involved in the investigation, as do county detectives. This agency joins the Pennsylvania State Police, the FBI and ATF in investigating over 20 explosions that have baffled residents since April.
Bucks District Attorney Matt Weintraub plans to address the media at 3:30 pm briefing in Richland Township, King noted.
King would not comment yet if there were any suspects or people of interest in the case.
State police and the FBI went down early Thursday morning in two places in Upper Bucks County, closing roads. Action News has a helicopter on the scene in Milford Township, live watch below.
WFMZ first reported Old Bethlehem Pike between Brick Tavern and Koons Roads in Milford Township was closed due to police activity. In addition, the authorities are in the Spinnerstown and Sleepy Hollow area, according to the report.
The FBI news agency, state police and local services were seen Thursday at the Richland Township Police Bureau before "swarming"
Neighbors told Action News that 50 officers and law enforcement officers took photographs and examined equipment at a location on Spinnerstown and Sleepy Hollow Streets.
The most recent explosion confirmed by law enforcement happened two weeks ago, when a tractor rolled on an unknown explosive device by mowing the grbad off Brick Tavern Road – in the neighborhood where the authorities are currently present
. Most of them were reported during the night.
More than 20 explosions are described by neighbors as "trembling houses" and some have left craters in the ground.
