Meghna Gulzar, whose latest directional project, Raazi, impressed critics and the public, began the groundwork for her upcoming project Chhapaak, starring Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Mbadey. The film is based on the life of Laxmi Agarwal, a survivor of acid attacks. The director revealed that before filming in May, she would hold a meeting between Deepika and Laxmi.
In an interview with Mid-Day, Meghna said: "I will facilitate the meeting between the four before starting filming.Vikrant is more external and more expressive. In comparison, the Deepika process is much more internal. Vikrant, I can hear and see his emotions and with Deepika, I feel them, we will not read too much because we want to maintain a certain level of spontaneity for the soil. "
Deepika Padukone will play a stimulating role by intervening in the skin of a survivor of an attack with acid. Last year, she tweeted "A Tale of Trauma and Triumphs and an Indomitable Human Spirit".
While Deepika plays the role of the survivor of the acid attack, Vikrant Mbadey tests the character of Laxmi's partner in real life, Alok Dixit, who is the founder of the Stop Acid campaign Attacks. The comedian Padmaavat will also co-produce the film. He has already been quoted in the newspaper saying that this film is not only a story of violence, but also of strength and courage, hope and victory.
The Chhapaak team is currently busy testing the look of the main characters.
