Namashi, the second son of veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty, will make an incursion to Bollywood with Rajkumar Santoshi's original young romantic comedy, titled BadBoy. The film will also feature the daughter of producer Sajid Qureshi, Amrin. "Rajkumar has spent several series of auditions before deciding on them and submitting them to drama workshops," Qureshi said in a statement.
The producer also revealed that the film would be inspired by Shahid Kapoor and Phata Poster Nikhla Hero by Ileana D 'cruz, and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani with Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif.

Mithun was in the United States when Namashi signed for the film, Qureshi said. "But on his return, he met us and discussed the scenario. No matter which father would be happy that his child was started by Rajkumar Santoshi. That means he's in good hands, "he said.
The film will be shot in Bengaluru and Mumbai over the next 65 days. Manufacturers have also planned to shoot some songs abroad. The film is filmed in the bank by Qureshi's Inbox Pictures.
