Former actor Mohan Babu was sentenced to one year in prison in a check checking case by the Erramanjil court in Hyderabad. Mohan Babu issued a check to Director YVS Chowdary as compensation and the check was returned. Despite several attempts, Mohan Babu did not pay the sum after which Chowdary went to court.
Soon, Mohan Babu asked to be released on bail and the court granted him. YVS Chowdary directed Manchou Vishnu Saleem and the 25 million rupee film ended in a failure. Mohan Babu was not in the mood to pay compensation to Chowdary after the movie ended. Mohan Babu issued a check for 41.75 lakhs for Chowdary in 2010. Mohan Babu recently joined the YSRCP and is currently campaigning for the party.
