Kader Khan, Mohanlal, Manoj Bajpayee and Prabhudeva will be awarded at the Padma Cinebuff Awards across the country delighted, several eminent figures of the industry film and entertainment will be conferred with Padma Awards on Saturday. Mohanlal Viswanathan, Manoj Bajpayee, Prabhu Deva, Shankar Mahadevan and Late Kader Khan are among the few names in the world of entertainment on the list of honored artists.
Mohanlal will receive Padma Bhushan for his contribution to the world of cinema. With a career spanning more than four decades, the actor, producer and singer has carved out an undeniable place in Malayalam cinema.
Manoj Bajpayee, critically acclaimed actor, will be conferred with Padma Shri. He has participated in many memorable films including Aligarh, Queen of Bandits, Dastak, Daud, Satya, Prem Katha, Zubeidaa, Aks, Kargil LOC, Gangs of Wbadeypur, Tevar and Shootout in Wadala and is considered one of the best of the best actors of Indian cinema. Kader Khan, who died earlier this month, will be honored by Padma Shri (posthumous-foreigner). With over 300 films including Dulhe Raja, Hum, Coolie No. 1, Judaai, Anari, Mukti, Chowki No. 11, Dhan Daulat, Sanam Teri Kasam, Badle Ki Aag, Himmatwala, Qaidi, Ghar Ki Kahani Ghar, Hulchul and Veer among others, the legacy of the legendary actor will continue to live.
The other award-winning celebrities are legendary dance Prabhu Deva, who has already received numerous awards, including two national film awards for Minsara Kanavu and Lakshya, as well as musical conductor Shankar Mahadevan, who composed songs for movies like Rockford, Kashmir Mission, Dillagi, School, Dil Chahta Hai, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Kyun! Ho Gaya Na, Lakshya, Phir Milenge, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, Heyy Babyy, Rock ON !!, Chance by chance, I'm calling Khan and wake up to name a few.
Theater personality Waman Kendre and actor Dinyar Entrepreneur will also be honored with Padma Shri on Saturday.
