The last generation of Mahindra Scorpio (codename: Z101) was last seen near Chengalpattu in Tamil Nadu. The SUV was again spotted on the road from Chennai to Puducherry.
The latest spy footage gives us a better insight into the proportions of the new Scorpion. It seems bigger than the present generation, but its general shape seems familiar. It is likely that new clusters of wraparound taillights are emerging slightly from the bodywork. On the front, the new model should have a redesigned grille with vertical slats. At present, the test vehicle appears to be equipped with dummy headlights and turn signals.
The next generation of Scorpio should be based on a scale chbadis and could be powered by a 2.0-liter diesel engine with a 158 BHP output. The SUV could be offered with a choice of manual or 6-speed automatic transmission as well as all-wheel drive.
