More than 900 artists and literature experts issued a statement urging citizens to vote for the Bharatiya Janata party and its allies. Complaining in favor of the waiver of power, the signatories said the country needed a "Majboot Sarkar" (strong government) and not a "Majboor Sarkar" (powerless government).
