In a frank conversation, Mukesh and Nita explained how much they fell in love and finally married. When Simi asked Mukesh how he had proposed his proposal, he replied that it was unannounced. He said, "Nita was really the first girl. I had pretty much decided that it was that, it's my life partner. I could feel in Nita that she was there and not there too. Once, when we were driving on Peddar Road, I thought Nita was going to marry me, say yes or no in the car.
Nita added that the whole situation happened in heavy traffic, on the road screaming and horning, while Mukesh was anxious not to move without an answer
