To celebrate Shankar's 25th anniversary in the industry, director maverick Mysskin staged a surprise party in his office in Chennai.
Mysskin invited Mani Ratnam, Gautham Menon, Mohan Raja, Lingusamy, Pa. Ranjith, Ezhil, Pandiraj, the badistants of Shankar Atlee, Vasanthabalan and Balaji Sakthivel to the party.
Shankar cut a specially baked cake at the party. All the filmmakers wore a blue t-shirt with the legend "S 25". According to sources, the filmmakers talked about Shankar's achievements in the sector and how he pushed the boundaries, expanding the Tamil film market with each film.
Shankar's next film is 'Indian 2' with Kamal Haasan. The director has completed two quick programs of Indian 2 and should resume shooting soon!
