Returning from Pakistan where she had gone to witness the laying ceremony of the first stone of the Kartarpur corridor Shiromani Akali Dal leader Harsimrat Kaur Badal gave a speech on the side of the head of the Congress Navjot Sidhu, saying that he seemed to have gotten it. Harsimrat's speech comes after Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan praised Sidhu and declared that, if he so wished, he could participate in the elections in Punjab, Pakistan, and that he would win.
Addressing ANI, Harsimrat said, "He (Imran Khan) has proposed to him (Navjot Singh Sidhu) to fight the elections in Pakistan. He (Sidhu) seems to have more love and respect in Pakistan than I have noticed here. He has good relations there.
Addressing the rally at the Kartarpur event, Imran Khan had stated that he had not understood why Mr. Sidhu had been criticized for his previous visit to Pakistan . Sidhu had gone to Pakistan in August to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Imran Khan as the country's prime minister.
"I heard that there was a lot of criticism against Sidhu when he returned after the swearing-in ceremony. I do not know why he was criticized. He spoke just of peace and fraternity, "said Khan.

Harsimrat Kaur Badal, who had attended the event in Narowal, Pakistan, also stated that her presence at the ceremony was a historic and emotional moment for her.
"In the last 48 hours, I've seen the history and miracles unfold before my eyes.There is so much joy on both sides (India and Pakistan) .If the Berlin Wall collapses, if North Korea and South Korea could settle their differences, if Germany and France could settle their differences, it was time for our wall of hate to collapse as well, "she said.
