Dar Sirerton Darbar Starrer is led by AR Murugadoss On Tuesday, actor Nayanthara began shooting for Rajinikanth Starrer Darbar in Mumbai. Lyca Productions, who is funding the director of AR Murugadoss, has gone on Twitter to share the news. "#Nayanthara joins the thalaivar #barbar sets today @armurugadoss @santoshsivan @anirudhofficial #IdhuThalaivarinDarbar," Lyca tweeted.
Darbar will mark the first collaboration between Murugadoss and Rajinikanth. The director will also team up with Nayanthara after 14 years apart. The duo worked for the last time in the hit action film Ghajini in 2005.
AR Murugadoss also announced on Twitter that he was happy to work again with Nayanthara. "Glad to collaborate again with #Nayanthara," he tweeted.

The first look of Darbar was recently unveiled and it was revealed that Rajinikanth would play a cop in the movie. Based on the poster, it was also confirmed that the story would unfold in Mumbai.
Darbar, with also Prateik Babbar in the antagonist, is scheduled for an outing in Pongal for 2020.
