Viswasam (Ajith Kumar), who stars Nayanthara, beats many box office records despite her appearance with Rajinikanth's Petta. The film released this year in Pongal has made a fantastic box-office collection and has opened its doors to rave reviews. In fact, it outperformed Rajinikanth's Petta on its original territory. While Rajinikanth's Petta had his first television show on April 14, Viswasam was televised on May 1, Ajith's birthday day as well. And guess what? The movie Ajith became the most watched movie of South India during its world premiere on television.
According to trade badyst Ramesh Bala, Viswasam recorded 1.81,43,000 impressions and, thanks to Thala Ajith, he managed to beat Thalapathy Vijay's Baahubali 2 and Sarkar record. The data was published by the Broadcast Audience Research Council. Viswasam was broadcast at 6:30 pm on May 1, and despite the fact that the film was first aired on the OTT platform, it exceeded BARC's impressions. Viswasam has set a huge record in Tamil cinema with its box office collection and also by its audience.
