LOS ANGELES (AP) – Nicki Minaj announced that she was canceling her visit to the BET Experience concert after the network tweeted about it on rapper Cardi B
Minaj said Monday on social media that she would not happen at the concert or BET Awards. It's after BET tweeted Sunday that Minaj was "dragged by lace" after the Cardi B's Grammy-winning rap album.
In a statement, BET apologized to Minaj for "the injury, disappointment and confusion caused by this publication". . "The network says it's going to conduct an internal investigation." The tweet was removed.
A Minaj representative did not immediately respond to an email requesting comments.
The Seventh Annual Concert will be held June 20-22 at Staples Center in Los Angeles prior to the BET Awards June 23.
