At the 49th Kerala State Film Awards, actors Jayasurya and Soubin Shahir shared the Best Actor award, while Nimisha Sajayan won Best Actress. The jury chaired by filmmaker Kumar Sahni called the film "Kaanthan, color lover" the best film. Shyama Prasad, who directed the film "Oru Njayarazhcha", won the Best Director Award.
