In the trailer and audio launch of 'NGK', SR Prabhu listed several reasons for the film's delay. Among all the reasons, the producer said that Selvaraghavan was to rewrite some pbadages of the screenplay because another film released last year had similar scenes and theme.
Last year, Vijay Sarkar and Vijay Devarakonda's NOTA were the two political dramas of Tamil cinema.
