Bumro, the last song by Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan Bahl's Notebook clearly recalls Hrithik Roshan-Preity Zumba Bumbro from the 2000 film by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Kashmir Mission, but the authors claim that it is not a recreation . The third song of the film was released Wednesday afternoon and the first line as well as the melody are much more eloquent than the original. However, the lyrics have been completely changed and the music is mainly inspired by Kashmir folk music.
Written by Kaushal Kishore, Bumro was composed by Vishal Mishra and sung by Kamaal Khan. Vishal Mishra, composer, said about the song: "We did not want to recreate the same song (Bumro). So, we kept the original folk song, but composed a new melody using a few instruments and influences from Kashmir. This is something we did for the whole soundtrack of the movie.
