I hope that Spider-Man: Towards the Spider-Verse was nominated – it was great – and I really enjoyed A quiet place also. I hated Vice – well, I must say that I hated the first half because I had it off halfway; he felt gimmicky. Black Panther – I appreciate what the film represents for people, but I just thought it was pretty mediocre. I am not a fan of Green Book either – I felt like retrograde and offending to the limit with all the clichés, then I read what the family [of Don Shirley] was saying and this did not happen. did not help. My son told me, "This movie is a junk"; I would not go that far. I wanted to love Roma but in the end, I thought it was boring, but beautiful to watch. I kept waiting for something to happen. My daughter and I watched it together at home and we repeated, "She's running down the street – maybe she's going to be run over by a car?" No. "She goes in the water to save the children. Is maybe one of them will die? And my daughter said, "No, because all the kids are grouped on the poster, at the beach." So, during the credits, she said, "Let's look through the credits, because there may be a scene after the credits?" Nope – and at that moment we laughed. There are so many people who liked it and it won everything, but for me it did not work. It took me a while to get into BlacKkKlansman but I finally loved it – I love Spike Lee a lot, I love Adam Driver and I'm a fan of [John] David Washington of Ballers on TV. But I only voted for three. My number three is Bohemian Rhapsody that I loved – I did not like the way they treated Freddie Mercury's homobaduality; they avoided him more or less, but Rami Malek was great and I loved the concert scenes. I Place A Star was born at number two – a truly entertaining Hollywood movie; the acting was awesome and everything worked for me except the end. I loved The Favorite – not the cinematography, but everything else. I imagine that it was one of the eight nominees that I liked the most, but I can not say that it was one of my favorite movies. There was no ghost wire for me this year.

My vote: (1) The Favorite (2) A Star is Born (3) Bohemian Rhapsody
