Actor Chris Evans, who plays Captain America in Marvel Cinematic Universe, won hearts around the world at the Monday morning Academy Awards. He may not have won a prize – he was not named either – but he nevertheless went to Twitter's trends for celebrating Black Panther's victory even before it was announced and being a gentleman.
While Regina King won her first Oscar – Best Actress in a Supporting Role – for her moving role in If Beale Street Could Talk -, the 48-year-old actress' heels got tangled in her dress, almost making her stumble. Evans, sitting in the front row next to Regina King's mother, Gloria, reached for his arm and graciously helped her up the stairs.

The moment has been captured in front of the camera and Twitter is not could not stop applauding. "He's so gentleman," tweeted a fan, while another said, "Every time you think you've seen it all, this man sets the bar higher for gentleman standards."
But it is not there that Twitter's love for Evans has ended. Black Panther was one of the Academy Award nominees and all fans of Marvel wanted it, but no one else than Evans. Captain America himself helped announce the Oscar for Best Production Design alongside Jennifer Lopez. While Lopez opened the envelope and was about to announce the winner, Evans raised his fist, thus confirming the victory of Black Panther
The actor had announced last year the end of his trip with an emotional post. "Officially packed on Avengers 4," wrote Evans on Twitter. "It was the least we could say. Playing this role in the past 8 years has been an honor. To all who are in front of the camera, behind the camera and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful. "
