Oscars 2019: Rami Malek falls from the stage after receiving the Best Actor Award

After winning the Oscar for Best Actor, actor Rami Malek fell from the stage of the 2019 Academy Awards . He was treated by doctors after the fall, reports ew.com. The 37-year-old was photographed while he was heading to the audience room after the ceremony ended on Sunday. The star did her best to hold her best actor statuette. Malek seemed surprised and was helped by his entourage.

Paramedics were then called to treat the actor, who was moved to a chair in the front row. Malek has not suffered any serious injuries during the incident. The actor had just received the award for his portrayal of Queen Freddie Mercury singer in the biopic "Bohemian Rhapsody". After his name was announced, Malek pbadionately kissed his partner and his girlfriend, Lucy Boynton.

While he was honored, he said, "My mother is somewhere here, I love you. I love you, ma'am. My family, thanks for all this. My dad could not see me doing that, but I think he's scorning me right now. It's a monumental moment. I am very grateful to all of you who have helped bring me here. At the Academy, to people who have changed every time. Graham King, [producer] Denis O'Sullivan, all of Fox and New Regency, thank you very much. I may not have been the obvious choice, but I guess it worked. Thank you Queen. Rami faces stiff competition from Christian Bale, Vice President, Bradley Cooper in A Star Is Born, Willem Dafoe with At Eternity's Gate and Viggo Mortensen in Green Book, but he defeat everyone to win his daughter Oscar Trophy for best actor.
