Some critics and producers have commented that such films with adult content should never be released because it has a bad reputation in Kollywood. In addition, many pointed out that the film propagated a false feminism and that it should not be misused as the film's main actresses.

In the 90ML trailer, Oviya and four other girls are drinking and smoking. The content of the film is audacious and includes many two-way dialogues as well as several montage scenes.
90ML, directed by Anita Udeep (Alagiya Asura), was censored with an A certificate from the censorship committee. Featuring Oviya, Bommu, Masoom, Shree Gopika, Monisha, Anson Paul and Tej Raj in leading roles, the adult film has a music recorded by Simbu, nicknamed STR.
