The legendary Southern star Mohanlal dedicated his honor Padma Bhushan to all those who have contributed to his film career over the last four decades.
The 58-year-old actor made his film debut in 1978 with the movie "Thiranottam" and went on to establish himself as one of the most versatile performers, said in a moving article on social media from many people whose love and blessing motivate him to stay motivated to deliver the best of his artistic talents.
"For me, it's a 40-year-old cinematic journey, a journey in which my paths have crossed thousands of people and sympathizers, from the boys of light on the plateau to the luminous galaxy of stars.
"From the ordinary A man, a woman and a child on the street who watched me in front of extraordinary characters who adorn the world in which we live. There have been dozens of people whose love, blessings and support, young and old alike, have made walking day trying to live up to the waiting time, writes Mohanlal on Facebook
The actor is said to be "humiliated" by the honor given him.
"It is to each of them that I dedicate this honor which has been conferred on me, and for that I am truly blessed. I am honored by this recognition and I am eternally grateful to all those who have been part of my worldly journey, "he added.
During his illustrious career, Mohanlal has starred in more than 300 films in Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi., Telugu and Kannada.
The actor will soon be seen in the directorial debut of Prithviraj Sukumaran "Lucifer" and "Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham".
