An online petition was launched in Pakistan to request the removal of actor Priyanka Chopra as a UNICEF goodwill ambbadador, reported The News International. The petition also refers to the UN and UNICEF.

The petition was launched by angry people against the actor who allegedly congratulated the Indian air force after air strikes crossing the line of control. Pressing the tweet of the actor "Jai Hindi #IndianArmedForces" after the Indian Air Force has conducted numerous airstrikes in Balakot, Pakistan, the petition says that the actor "encouraged the war", while he was UNICEF's goodwill ambbadador. Priyanka Chopra was named UNICEF Goodwill Ambbadador in December 2016.
