Pakistani drummer Ahmed Shehzad was provisionally suspended and charged with violating anti-doping rules after testing positive for a banned substance in May, the country's cricket council (PCB) said.

The 26-year-old urine sample in competition, collected at the Pakistan Cup national tournament in May, was tested positive and a committee of 39, independent review confirmed the result in June.
"It was given until July 18, 2018 to indicate if he wishes to have his sample B tested and until July 27 to respond to the charges laid in the notice of "Accusation," said the CCP in a statement posted on its website.

"The CPC also temporarily suspended Ahmed Shehzad pending the outcome of the charges."
Shehzad recently played for Pakistan in the June T20 series in Scotland.
