Kabir Khan's next sporting drama, "83", talks about India's first World Cup cricket victory. The creators are gradually unveiling the cast of Ranveer Singh-starrer and the acclaimed actor Pankaj Tripathi is the last to join the list.

According to an animated website, Tripathi will play PR Man Singh, the manager of the team that won the first World Cup. Speaking of his meeting with the director, the actor said that Kabir had always been one of his favorite filmmakers and that he was keen to work with him. Tripathi is also reminded to have been moved at times during the scenario reading session and to have explained that it had not taken him much time to say yes to the script.
