PewDiePie briefly lost his crown as the biggest YouTuber on the planet

• PewDiePie briefly lost his most-subscribed channel title on YouTube.
• Bollywood chain preceded for more than two hours Monday morning.
• PewDiePie and his fellow YouTubers campaigned to keep the vlogger in the forefront.

YouTube star PewDiePie, whose real name is Felix Kjellberg, was briefly dethroned as YouTube's most popular channel by the T-Series music channel.

T-Series, a Bollywood production company producing sumptuous clips, has been about to supplant PewDiePie for a few months.

The two chains have been neck and neck for some time and since Eight minutes on February 22, T-Series has overtaken PewDiePie. Monday morning, he left a lead of more than two hours.

. The two channels have nearly 90 million subscribers, but by March 18, the T series had a lead of 50,000 subscribers. PewDiePie has retweeted a call for people to subscribe to his channel.

PewDiePie launched a campaign to retain his first place, which he has held since 2013. Other YouTubers have rallied to his cause, while Tesla's CEO, Elon Musk, wanted stay at the forefront.

The campaign to retain first place was gaining notoriety last week as news revealed that the shooter at the Christchurch mbadacre in New Zealand chanted the words "subscribe to PewDiePie" during 39; attack. PewDiePie said on Twitter that he felt "absolutely disgusted by the name that person uttered."
