Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams do not only play sisters in Game of Thrones, they are practically sisters in real life. These best friends grew up together in the series and their friendship is the cutest.
The power of Mophie is real! Maisie Williams 22 years old and Sophie Turner 23 years old, have been the best friends in the world for more than ten years. Their friendship is the very definition of #FriendshipGoals. They met when they were named Arya and Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones in 2009, when they were only 12 and 13 years old. They are best friends since. They grew up together and shared incredible memories.
Maisie and Sophie filmed the first season of the series together, but their screenplays broke up for the 2011 season 1 finale. Their friendship remained intact during the years they were not filming together. Their characters met in season 7. After being beaten for years, Arya returned to Winterfell to find Sansa and the rest of her family.
While Sansa and Arya did not hear well at first, those of Sophie and Maisie the connection was instantaneous. They are so close that Maisie will be one of the bridesmaids of Sophie's next wedding with Joe Jonas . Sophie and Joe got married at a surprise ceremony in Las Vegas after the Billboard Music Awards on May 1st, but they will still be getting married in the summer of 2019.
They also got tattooed the same mark to celebrate their friendship. "We always said we wanted them, so we have the date of 07.08.09 on our arms, because that's the date on which we both learned that we had our roles in Game of Thrones " Game of Thrones may be coming to an end, but the friendship of Sophie and Maisie will never be. The eighth and final season of the show airs on Sunday at 9 pm on HBO.
