The AEW TV show could end on Wednesday night. With All Elite Wrestling recently registering a Wednesday Night Dynamite trademark, the midweek professional wrestling content could become very interesting. Because the WWE will probably take a countermeasure.
In fact, WWE has already put AEW in competition on Wednesday night. Because they still have a block of original Wednesday night broadcasts on the WWE network. NXT UK and NXT are broadcast every Wednesday on the WWE network. This could leave the fans with an interesting decision.
Ringside News wanted to know where the fans are bending. So we conducted a survey on our social media to find out what our great readers would watch if we had the choice between AEW and NXT. The results are quite surprising.
At the time of writing these lines, 38% of Facebook fans said they would watch NXT, compared to 62% who said they would watch AEW. On the other hand, the fans interviewed on Twitter got slightly closer results: 43% of them said that they would watch NXT, against 57% of them who would watch AEW.
No matter how fans are divided, it looks like it's WWE. has a lot to do because AEW gets the highest percentage. WWE should face stiff competition on Wednesday night if AEW Wednesday Dynamite Night on TNT became a thing.
Maybe WWE will propose something different or make NXT a live show to fight AEW more, but it's hard to say what Vince McMahon's company is capable of at this stage.
