"It is unfortunate to see such a nice man being subjected to something like this, the damage to reputation, the family trauma are unacceptable to me." A FIR was registered at the Oshiwara Police Station in Mumbai under Articles 376 (rape) and 384 (extortion) of the Indian Penal Code against Oberoi. According to the police, the actor-singer allegedly raped the woman on the pretext of marrying, reportedly Asian News International .
