Prime Minister Narendra Modi's biopic is not a propaganda but an inspiring story, says film producer at the Supreme Court – Entertainment News, Firstpost

Sandip Ssingh, producer of the biopic about Prime Minister Narendra Modi, starring Vivek Oberoi, said that freedom of expression was important in a democracy and that the Supreme Court (SC) should consider the film as an inspiring story and not as a "political propaganda".

Producers have recently proposed to SC to challenge the film ban by the Electoral Commission (EC) until the end of the 2019 elections in Lok Sabha. The petition will be heard by the highest court on April 15th.

According to Indo-Asian News Service Ssingh said that every Indian citizen had the right to appeal for justice, which he also does. He added that for him and his team, the film was special and that he wanted to see it.
