The biggest Hollywood awards night is waiting for us with some of the best films of last year vying for the coveted prize for the best movie. A star was born brutally snubbed at the Golden Globes Awards held earlier this year, tied with Vice starring Christian Bale, with eight nominations. Black Panther was nominated in seven categories while Bohemian Rhapsody and Green Book have five lives each.

Best Film Apart, Glenn Close ( The Wife ) is a favorite of the best actress race with Lady Gaga's main competition ( A Star is Born ). The beginner Yalitza Aparicio ( Roma ) is also in the running for the prize.

For the first time in three decades, the Oscars will be held without a host after Kevin Hart's resignation. he was criticized for his old homophobic comments on social media.
