Actress Priyanka Chopra attended Tuesday at the launch party of her Bollywood film, The Sky is Pink, with the cast and the team. Producers Ronnie Screwvala and Sidharth Roy Kapur, cast members Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf, and director Shonali Bose joined the party. Farhan Akhtar was missing.
Priyanka spoke to her Instagram to write a thank you note to the film crew and described her work as "the most difficult and the most beautiful of experiences". She wrote, "And it's packed. This film is special for me on so many levels. Not only because @roykapurfilms and @rsvpmovies (Sid and ronnie) joined my first production in Hindi … but also seized the opportunity to bring to life a character and a true story to be told. @faroutakhtar you made a new amazing co-actor with all the laughter and fun! (we missed you tonight) and my incredible @zairawasim_ and @ rohitsaraf10 with whom I made friends for life! It was the most beautiful experience. Thank you @shonalibose_ for your incredibly unique vision. I am so proud of your trust in me. Thank you very much to our team who worked tirelessly for 10 months to make this special piece of cinema. In the photos, you can see Priyanka in a chrome jumpsuit, paired with yellow and raw boots. Zaira is wearing a red and white dress and Shonali is in black evening dress.
Priyanka returned to Mumbai earlier this week and was seen arriving at the airport. She has since been seen in town and has also been seen at the office of Roy Kapur Films. Her husband, singer Nick Jonas, went to Instagram to share a photo of the two men and wrote that he was missing her already.
The Sky is Pink would be based on the life of Aisha Chaudhary, who became a motivational speaker after being diagnosed with immunodeficiency at the age of 13. The film is expected to be released in October 2019 and will mark Priyanka's return to Bollywood after a three-year hiatus in which she starred in her US television.
