At least 198 PML-N workers were prosecuted on Tuesday in Sialkot and Daska for organizing a rally to welcome former Pakistani PM Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Sharif on their return from London on July 13.
About 175 of the 198 workers were registered under sections 188, 290 and 291 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), according to a report by Pakistan Observer. The Sialkot Saddar police registered them on the basis of the report filed by the sub-inspector Maqsood Ahmed.

Daska Saddar police also sued 23 PML-N workers, including Rana Raza, Hashim Butt and Naeem Butt, PML-N Secretary General in Daska for organizing a rally on the Daska-Sialkot road.
Police stated that the PML-N workers against whom cases had been registered engaged in hate speech against the police when they were arrested in an attempt to maintain law and order in the region Dawn
No arrests were made for either of these FIRs, but an investigation is in progress.
Rangpura police also recorded a case separately against five suspects, including two Pakistani Tehreek-i-. Leaders of Insaf (PTI) Mehar Kashif and Sheikh Kamran for the use of fireworks at Jinnah Stadium in Sialkot on arrival of PTI chairman, Imran Khan, who was there to hold a public meeting on the night of July 15th.
