These days, Quentin Tarantino does not make short films. He enjoys long scenes that give his characters the chance to become lyrical, leading to performances that tend to extend towards the three o'clock mark. This is certainly the case of his last, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood which debuted at Cannes in the space of 2 hours and 40 minutes – but when it receives a larger version it may be slightly longer. In an interview with Indiewire the filmmaker claimed that he might perhaps come back to it, pointing out that the complete editing of the film was clocked at 4 hours and 20 minutes.

Sony's president, Tom Rothman, said Tarantino would have the opportunity to return to the editing before the big-format release if he wishes – with the filmmaker having formerly tinkered with Inglourious Basterds as a result of his debut at Cannes in 2009.
