"Racist", "offensive": Trevor Noah called to joke about the tension between India and Pakistan

Comedian Trevor Noah, host of The Daily Show attempted to shed light on the tension between India and Pakistan during one of his episodes. And he turned against many critics of Twitter users.

Noah said that if he hoped the two countries would not go to war, it was the "most entertaining war of all time". He then said that Indian soldiers would rush onto the battlefield and shoot singing and dancing.

Noah was summoned for his "totally offensive" joke, some the "racist" caller. Others said that they were "extremely" disappointed with Noah.

@Trevornoah felt horrible about seeing you make racist jokes about the war between India and Pakistan.
And their way of mocking the Indians … You just left my look list

Racist. Stereotype. And downright offensive. It is true that these days, when you think that someone is cool and wise, they make you @Trevornoah and flush out all the goodwill! https://t.co/TJoxGrFd1c

Usually I like @Trevornoah but his remarks on the situation between India and Pakistan has pissed me off. You can not compare an enmity that goes back to the British Empire to a little quarrel between two rappers. I am Indian, my family is in the air force and, frankly, I am worried.

What a loss of speed, @Trevornoah . War is not a form of entertainment. You spend 80% of your time criticizing Trump and the violence that it might spark, but the possibility that India and Pakistan engage in a real war is a filmed song and dance for you? https://t.co/dlR0gdvHQU
