Narendra Modi was sworn in on Thursday. as Prime Minister of India for a second term. Among film personalities, Rajinikanth attended the ceremony with his wife, Latha Rajinikanth, who welcomed 6000 guests, including directors, film personalities, industrialists, journalists and many others.

Rajinikanth announced his entry into politics on December 31, 2017, but he has still not contested the elections.

Many Bollywood celebrities also attended the ceremony. Directors Karan Johar, Aanand Rai, Rajkumar Hirani, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Abhishek Kapoor were present. Producers Boney Kapoor and Siddharth Roy Kapur also honored the prestigious ceremony.

Kajal Aggarwal and Randeep Hooda were also invited to the ceremony but were not able to attend. They shared their invitations on social media.

In addition to these celebrities, Hema Malini and Sunny Deol, who both won votes in their respective constituencies, were also identified among the public.
