The daughter of superstar Rajinikanth, Soundariya Rajinikanth, is getting married on Feb. 11 to businessman and actor Vishagan Vanangamudi in Chennai. While rumors were rife about the marriage for a while, Soundarya went on Twitter a few days ago in her future avatar and confirmed the news.
The family started sending the invitations. But, according to sources, Rajinikanth has decided to personally invite some great celebrities. On Wednesday morning, he met with Thirunavukkarasar, chairman of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee, and handed him the first wedding invitation. At the time, the president of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, Thol Thirumavalavan was with Thirunavukkarasar. So, Rajinikanth also invited him.
Rajinikanth said in an interaction with the media: "Thirunavukarasar was the main person responsible for the organization of the wedding of Soundarya, so I sent him the first invitation, not many more people. I meet now are only for the marriage of my daughter and not for political reasons. "
Later in the day, Rajinikanth went to the house of Nadigar Thilagam Shivaji Ganesan to give the invitation to his son Prabhu. Shivaji's grandson, actor Vikram Prabhu, shared a photo with the superstar on his Instagram. In the evening, he met the DMK chairman, Stalin, and invited him to attend the wedding.
The wedding celebrations will begin on February 9th. Rajinikanth's family has limited the list of guests, and has closed family and friends, only a few film and political personalities will be present at the wedding.
This is Soundarya's second wedding. She had been married to the Ashwin businessman in 2010, and they have a four year old boy named Ved Krishna. The couple separated due to differences and divorced in 2017.
