If the first criticisms are needed, it seems that Thalaiva fans are extremely impressed by the performance of Shankar, who hailed him as one of the best Indian films ever produced by Indian cinema. Calling Shankar "genius", a social media user wrote: "Shankar sir is a visionary of epic proportions".
Another user tweeted, "The VFX action & # 39; action in # 2Point0 is on another level. It is going to blow. The first half was dull, the second half was engaging #Rajinikanth evoked nostalgia, #AkshayKumar is great. " (sic)

We collected some early reactions to the film. Take a look:

# 2Point0 Midway through the movie. It's exhilarating so far. Thriller at the edge of the seat. The amazing entrance of #AkshayKumar in the scene before the interval. The vision of #Shankar is worth mentioning. As usual, #Rajinikanth carries the film on his shoulders.

Interval. The visual effects are really amazing. You can see a lot of hard work behind the visual effects, although the story moves almost nowhere until now. Akshay Kumar makes his appearance at the break from the intermission. # 2point0

# 2Point0 Interval: Vera's level is redefined. #Chitti is back !!! Experience without voice in 3D. I can not wait for the second half.

2.0 however was a long time to come. The film, which was originally scheduled to arrive in cinemas last year on Diwali, was then pushed to a debut film in December 2017. Once again, it was moved from one theater to another. one month to January 2018, to give more time to post-production. After too much reprogramming, the Rajinikanth-Akshay starrer is finally available today.

At 543 Rs. Crore, this film by Rajinikanth costs more than several successful clbadics of VFX in Hollywood like Deadpool (58 million USD), X-Men (75 million USD) and Batman (35 million USD).
