This is the first project of the director Ghajini with Rajinikanth. The first look features elements of a policeman's uniform – belt, shoes and hat – as well as handcuffs and guns, confirming reports that Rajinikanth will play a police officer in the film. Previously, he was considered a cop in films such as Moondru Mugam Pandian and Kodi Parakuthu .
