CHENNAI: Latha, the wife of actress Rajinikanth, requested police protection on February 10 and 12 for the wedding of her younger daughter Soundarya to their home in Poes Garden.

Soundarya is getting married with actor-businessman Vishagan Vanangamudi next week.
The couple's pre-wedding and marriage ceremonies are to be held at Rajinikanth's residence in Poes Garden.
In a letter addressed to the inspector of Teynampet, Latha asked the police to support her with a view to the marriage, stating that several VVIPS would be about to attend the ceremony and that the traffic had to be rationalized. Police sources said they would provide the dressing to avoid affecting the normal lives of other residents.
