We still hear stories back in Bollywood. The latest is filmmaker Rajiv Rai, who has directed some of the most iconic films of the '90s. Who does not remember Ranveena Tandon's' Tip Tip Barsa Paani' or Akshay Kumar's action scenes at Mohra? Kajol's performance as a psychotic stalker in Bobby Deol's Gupta still gives us goose bumps. These are just two of the films that Rajiv Rai made in the '90s.

He was also responsible for giving Arjun Rampal a break in Bollywood in such films as Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat (2001) and Asambhav (2004). both films performed less well at the box office and the director suspended his cloak. However, 15 years later, Rajiv Rai is expected to return to Bollywood and as a filmmaker.

And for fans of the Gupt movie, which also featured Manisha Koirala, in addition to Kajol and Bobby Deol, there is good news. The filmmaker reveals that he intends to make a sequel to the thriller-drama. Although, this may not be the first on his plate. Add to this that the filmmaker also insists that Gupt 2, as it is made, will not be a sequel to the original because the most important character in the film (played by Kajol) dies at the end.

"I did not really write a version of Gupt, but I have a concept that I might want to do in a few years. If I had to do Gupt 2, it would not be a sequel since Kajol would die at the end and it would end happily. I would not mind franchising Gupt if the story I'm writing is better than the first one with a completely different story. I could just use the title, the soul of the movie and the names of the characters, but story and cast, it will be a completely different movie. The idea is to show the public a brand new movie while they are bored looking at the same thing. I have to give them something new every time. It's as if the Bhatts had subscribed to the Murder series, "Rajiv Rai told Bollywood Hungama in an interview.

While the filmmaker is working on several scenarios in recent years, he has finally made one and he thinks it will be one of the best murder stories in Bollywood. . He also reveals that he would not have huge budgets for his next film and that he will shoot all his films in Delhi. He also worked on his first film as an badistant director, under the direction of Yash Chopra in Trishul.
